To know where LAS stands today, the man to see is Mr. Richard Maia, President & Owner of LAS Enterprises. Although born in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Maia was educated in New Orleans and is a graduate of Jesuit High School and the University of New Orleans. Mr. Maia holds a degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineering License and a Louisiana Contractor License.

As an engineer, Mr. Maia's career has varied from work on the space shuttle to designing offshore platform and production packages for oil, gas and petrochemical industries. After joining William H. Linder and Associates in May 1983, and upon their joint acquisition of LAS Enterprises in January 1989, Mr. Maia became general manager and co-owner of LAS Enterprises. Mr. Maia immediately set out to remedy any shortcomings of the old LAS ownership by establishing new standards by which the company now operates. In September 1995, Mr. Maia became president and sole owner of LAS.

He has organized LAS' structure into one designed to address homeowners' needs and their "after-the-sale" peace of mind. Mr. Maia stated, "With its in-house manufacturing, LAS eliminates the middle man, this allows LAS to give the customer: service, quality, and the assurance we will be here tomorrow if they need us." Mr. Maia is determined for LAS to become the area's champion in meeting the needs of the homeowner. Just talk to other LAS customers or him and you'll see that he means it!
